I feel guilty about how easy this bread. Offensively easy. I don’t even know what to say. Mix the ingredients, let rise for an hour and you have a homemade yeast bread. Nothing sophisticated but really delicious. Toast away.

You’ll need:
4 teaspoons active dry yeast
2 tablespoons sugar
1 cup warm water
1 teaspoon salt
5 cups flour
1.5 cups warm milk (I used whole)
0.5 teaspoon baking soda
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir with a wooden spoon until combined. Scoop the dough into two greased loaf pans. Cover with a clean tea towel and let rise in a warm place for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes until the tops are browned. Remove from pans and let cool.
